NBA 2K19 marks the second time that the NBA icon was featured on the game’s cover, as he previously appeared as the cover athlete for NBA 2K14. Though the cover athlete for the Standard Edition of the game has yet to be revealed, the Special Edition’s cover athlete will be none other than Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James. The Standard Edition of the video game will cost $59.99 (£44.75) while the 20th Anniversary Special Edition of NBA 2k19 will cost $99.99 (£74.59). The 20th Anniversary Special Edition version will be launched a few days earlier on September 7, 2018.īoth the Standard Edition and the Special Edition will be available to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.įor gamers wishing to play early, the NBA 2K19 Prelude version can be downloaded for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 31, allowing gamers to begin their career mode and eventually transfer progress over to the full game.
